A Rose (Pinterest) |
A rose is so beautiful, yet it is not perfect. It has many
thorns, and petals that wither, turn brown and die. Let us all be beautiful
roses in this life, and accept that we are not perfect, but perfectly flawed.
All roses are beautiful in their own way. Some are big, some
are small. Some are more fully bloomed, while some are still yet buds. Some are
dark, some are light. Some are pricklier than others, some are more fragile.
Yet each one is just as beautiful as the next, though they be quite different.
Each one starts as a little green bud, blooms, flourishes,
then fades and dies. They live sunny lives, blow with the breeze, and sometimes
become damaged by storms. But in the end, they are still that beautiful rose
made by God—each different in its own specific way.
We don’t need to be perfect. It’s a goal that we will never
reach, that only brings unhappiness. We are enough as we are. We are
enough.
Let us just be God’s roses, fearfully and wonderfully made.
And despite any scars or imperfections, let us stay beautiful.
Love you all,
Linnaia Rose
